on tour summer 2006

Hi, I’m Dharma Dailey. Director of Research for the Ethos Group. Many people know me as a friend and volunteer for the Prometheus Radio Project. Lately, I’ve also been spending a lot of time with my colleagues and neighbors at the Wave Farm and CIMA.

I’m sneaking the detritus of my electronic life- old and new- up on this here site for you to ponder.

    Hello,
I just wanted to thank you for having the presence of mind to record your tour.
I write for a publication called North American Quarry News. Last month, I attended an industry meeting in Scranton, and as part of the day’s events, we toured the mine.
I took several photos, but didn’t think to turn on my recorder to get detailed information of what our guide said.
I’m now listening to your recording for that purpose. To get needed info for my story.
I hadn’t planned to write about this, just include a couple of photos with my meeting write up, to give the article some “color.”
Wouldn’t you know it? My editor asked for a story on the mine tour. I had no notes, just info for the photo captions.
So, after Googling “Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour,” your recording came up. I’ll be sure to credit you for this in my article. I’ll name you as fellow tour member…same tour, different day!
What a Godsend! Thank you so much for doing what you do.
Perhaps next time, I’ll remember to turn on my recorder! I had it with me, and faithfully recorded every talk that was given that day. But not the tour.
    Have a wonderful day.

    Hi Jon,
I’m glad that you got something out of the rough cut edit the tour. Please feel free to post a link to your piece here.
    Best Regards,
    Dharma

    Hi Dharma!

Lauren Glenn mentioned that she met you at the Rockwood Inst. last week.

Thought I’d write and say hello!!!!
I was remembering hanging out in the bowling alley with your daughter in Detroit.
    You’re both pretty rad ladies!!!

It’s gorgeous in Vt. right now, if you want to come up and check out the leaves, feel free.

Hope you are doing sooo well!
    Sam
